Description

These sticky, golden tenders deliver restaurant-quality flavor in just 15 minutes using your air fryer. Perfect for weeknight dinners when you want something special without the fuss or excess oil.

Ingredients

Scale

CHICKEN:

1 lb chicken tenders

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Cooking spray

HONEY BUTTER GARLIC SAUCE:

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 tablespoons honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Pat chicken tenders dry and season with salt and pepper. Set up three bowls: flour in first, beaten eggs in second, panko mixed with paprika in third. Dredge each tender through flour, egg, then panko, pressing to coat well.

2. Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Spray basket with cooking spray and arrange tenders in single layer without touching. Spray tops generously with oil. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked to 165°F internally.

3. While chicken cooks, melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned. Stir in honey, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened and glossy.

4. Remove crispy tenders from air fryer and place in large bowl. Pour warm honey butter garlic sauce over chicken and toss gently but thoroughly to coat every piece. The heat helps sauce cling beautifully to the crispy coating.

5. Transfer glazed tenders to serving plate while still hot. Drizzle any remaining sauce over top and serve immediately. These are best enjoyed fresh when coating is crispy and sauce is warm and sticky.

Notes

Make sauce while chicken cooks to save time.

Don’t burn the garlic—cook just until fragrant for best flavor.

Toss tenders in sauce right before serving for maximum crispiness.

Reserve some sauce for dipping if desired.

Double the sauce recipe if you want extra for drizzling.

Add heat by stirring sriracha or red pepper flakes into the sauce.

Make it extra garlicky by doubling the garlic in the sauce.

Swap honey for maple syrup for different sweetness profile.

Store leftovers in airtight container for up to 3 days.

Reheat in air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to restore crispiness.
