Description
A quick and comforting dessert combining sweet canned peaches with a buttery, golden caramelized topping made using yellow cake mix. Perfect for summer and easy to prepare with minimal ingredients.
Ingredients
3 cans (15.25 oz each) sliced peaches in syrup
ยฝ tsp ground cinnamon (to taste)
1 package (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
ยฝ cup brown sugar
ยฝ cup (1 stick) cold butter
Instructions
Drain 2 cans of peaches, reserving ยผ cup syrup; add them to a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Stir in remaining peach can (not drained) and sprinkle ยฝ tsp cinnamon over the peaches.
In a bowl, combine cake mix and brown sugar.
Cut cold butter into ยผ-inch slices and mix into the cake mix until crumbly.
Spread topping evenly over peach mixture.
Bake at 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) for 35โ40 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
Use a 9×13-inch glass or metal baking pan for even baking.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
For extra crispiness, refrigerate the topping mixture for 15 minutes before spreading.
