Ingredients
4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar, divided
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Combine peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and lemon juice.
3. Stir gently and set aside.
4. Whisk flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
5. Add milk and melted butter, mix until just combined.
6. Pour batter into greased baking dish.
7. Spoon peach mixture evenly over batter without stirring.
8. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown.
9. Cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use ripe peaches for best flavor.
Do not stir peaches into batter.
