Description

Ingredients

  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken breasts 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. This step is optional but adds flavor.

2. Combine cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in slow cooker. Stir until completely smooth without lumps.

3. Place chicken breasts in slow cooker. Spoon sauce over chicken, ensuring each piece gets coated thoroughly.

4. Cover and cook on low 6-7 hours or high 3-4 hours until chicken reaches 165°F internal temperature and shreds easily.

5. Remove cooked chicken and shred using two forks. Return shredded chicken to slow cooker. Stir in sour cream until completely incorporated into sauce.

6. Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese and fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately over rice, pasta, or with favorite side dish.
