The bold, aromatic flavors of the Boursin cheese eliminate the need for complex prep, resulting in juicy poultry that feels truly special every single time.
Ingredients
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced lengthwise into cutlets
0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
0.5 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
0.75 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1 package (5.2-ounce) Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese
1–2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Place chicken cutlets on a cutting board and lightly season both sides with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat olive oil and butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken cutlets to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through; remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Pour in the chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up all the browned bits from the bottom with a wooden spoon.
Stir in the Boursin cheese until completely melted and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
Return the chicken to the skillet, coating each piece thoroughly with the herb sauce.
Simmer for an additional 1-2 minutes to reheat the chicken.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Slice breasts lengthwise to ensure uniform cooking and to prevent the edges from drying out.
Use only low-sodium broth to maintain control over the saltiness, as the cheese is already seasoned.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat gently on the stovetop with a splash of broth if necessary.
